netfirms SUCKS – we have an account with them, and lately we have been receiving tons of server errors. I have emailed their support several times, with no response at all. They are complete crap, they don’t care, and in the meantime my business suffers. We just paid for a year with them, but I am thinking of moving off of their site and filing a complaint with the Canadian authorities.
netfirms customer support is extremely slow! If you have a small site and no cms then their pricing and options are good. But If you want a quality site with a good cms, then I would advise to stay away. I am looking for another hosting service because I am looosing customers from extremely slow connections and pages not loading consistently. Those conditions will loose you customers very fast.
They have a nice looking control panel. If you are new, want to host a html webpage that gets 2 hits a week – netfirms is acceptable. If you want to write scripts that require databases – it’s easy to set up, but slow as hell, and down way too often for no reason. I am moving all my stuff to a different host.
