Their free web space hosting seems to functional, although their home page blog has not been updated since January 13, 2006. They provide a list of well over 53,000 hosted subdomains (many of these do not have active index pages though). There is a large banner at the top of free web pages, and more text links scrolling at the bottom, which often are spammy advertisements of poor taste. The webpages load reasonably fast.
The hosted free sites are often down, and when your site is not down, the speed just is just terribly slow. If you want headaches, you can sign up.
